While Mallamace.com is growing you may have some questions about getting around Mallamace.com. The site is not overly complex, but I anticipate some questions about how it’s setup. I will answer most questions in the form of Question and Answer. If you still have questions please send an email to Nathan.
This site is for friends and family of the Mallamace Family to explore the Mallamace genealogy and their own. Visitors are welcome, but will have limited access to various services. If you are friend or family of Mallamace and you wish to participate please Nathan.
Well, the first thing to understand is you’ll need a separate login from the main site. The Family Tree content is a separate function within Mallamace.com as it is a much more secure part of Mallamace.com, you will first need to request access.
If your account has already been approved you can login here.
You can login to your email at http://www.mallamace.com, “Check Your Email”
Sign in using your username and password provided to you
You should be asked to change your password after logging in. I recommend taking precautions when giving out your email. Spam is often caused when you give out your email to advertisers (signing up for offers, promotions and such) you should use your other email for something like that (aol, hotmail, yahoo, etc.). And of course, never open an attachment if you don’t know who it’s coming from. You won’t be able to prevent all spam, but you can limit it by following my directions.
Your personalized email is good for resumes and as your normal email for friends and family.
I won’t have any access to your email so it’s important that you backup your email with something like Outlook Express using something like POP3. As I’m using GMail, a proven email web application software, to manage the mallamace.com emails you should still figure out a way to back up your email.
If you have any questions about using your personalized email, contact Nathan.
